An auto body mechanic was in need of a tow truck company to move his equipment last week. The mechanic already had his own 20 foot storage container packed to the brim with various tools and equipment and was moving it from his old shop to his new shop. 

This was definitely not your average winch and haul. In order to avoid damaging both the concrete in the auto body shop’s parking lot and the container’s undercarriage, Universal’s amazing tow technician used an uncommon winching method to get the container on the flat truck. Using some well placed chains, the tow technician put his flatbed truck in neutral. This way instead of pulling the container towards the flatbed, the winching would instead pull the truck backwards and underneath the storage container! This is when the Universal team’s experience really shines through. By thinking ahead, the technician was able to avoid any unnecessary problems.

The tow truck company dispatch center received a call from a client who needed help moving a storage container. The tow truck company dispatched a tow technician and his flatbed truck. The tow truck company technician drove 2.6 miles via N Nova Road to the client’s auto body shop.

The tow truck company technician secured the container to the flatbed truck. 

The tow truck company technician did a final assessment to ensure that the storage container was properly attached to the flatbed truck. The tow truck company technician got back in his truck. The tow truck company technician left the autobody shop on S Nova Road. The tow truck company technician drove the storage container to another auto body shop. The tow truck company technician arrived at the second auto body shop.  The tow truck company technician began the process of unloading the storage container in a safe and efficient manner.  The tow truck company technician completed the job by dropping off the storage container in the parking lot of the new auto body shop.  The tow truck company technician headed back to headquarters to await a new job.
