Forklift Moving for Construction Job

Forklift Moving Fast and Safe

As a forklift moving company we are often called on to move forklifts in the Daytona Beach area.  Last week, we were called to move the forklift you see here from Holly Hill to Daytona Beach

We wanted to take this opportunity to answer a few questions about how we tow forklifts. First of all, we pay close attention to safety. This means that we pay attention to process.  Our drivers follow a strict protocol to be sure every tow is safe and the forklift arrives at the scene on-time and in the same shape when we picked it up.  We do this by doing things like attaching the forklift, backwards. We also carefully secure the fuel tank.  Also, our driver move your forklift with great care.

Universal Towing was contacted to perform forklift moving for a client. Universal Towing dispatcher selected the forklift moving expert. The forklifts gas tank fuel line was shut off to avoid ignition. The forklift moving expert then walked to the head of the trailer and slanted the trailer at an angle to the ground.  A forklift operator then started up the forklift. The forklift operator drove toward the flatbed. The back wheels of the forklift hit the flatbed. The back wheels rolled up over the ledge, bumping upward. The forklift drove further up the flatbed. The forklift drove another five feet. The front wheels of the forklift hit the flatbed. The front wheels of the forklift bumped up and rolled on the flatbed platform.  The forklift operator drove the flatbed to the fasteners on the flatbed platform. The forklift moving expert then jumped onto the flatbed. The forklift moving expert grabbed towing straps and towing chains. He attached the rear wheels of the flatbed to the flatbed. The forklift moving expert then used towing straps and towing chains to attach the front wheels of the forklift. He secured the front of the forklift. He then got into the flatbed and he started the drive from Holly Hill to Daytona Beach.  The forklift moving expert arrived at his destination twenty minutes later. He backed the flatbed nearer to the right location. He then jumped onto the flatbed and started to detach the front of the forklift. He detached the towing straps and towing chains. The forlift moving expert then moved to the rear of the forklift and he detached the towing straps and towing chains. He then walked to the power switch and he angled the flatbed to the ground. The forklift operator got into the forklift. He started up the forklift. He drove the forklift off the flatbed.
